Throughout May the Tunbridge Wells Dementia Forum is asking our customers to help in the fight against dementia by making and donating Twiddle Mitts.
Twiddle mitts can help to calm people people living with dementia by keeping restless hands busy and reducing anxiety.
They are knitted or crocheted mitts embellished with beads, ribbon, buttons and pom poms that users can ‘twiddle’.
They are easy and fun to make and you can download a Twiddle Mitt pattern here.
You can also pick up a pattern in our Tunbridge Wells store.
For more information on the appeal including upcoming knitting and crochet workshops as well as where to donate your finished mitt, visit Tunbridge Wells Knit Appeal.
We hope you can help us support this wonderful cause.
